Listen To Two New Thom Yorke Tracks (That He Made For A Fashion Show)

So hey, remember how Radiohead had a pretty busy September last year? Turns out there was even more going on than we thought. As Pitchfork reports, frontman Thom Yorke had put together some new original tracks that month as well... to soundtrack models walking the catwalk at clothing line Rag & Bone's fashion show. Yep.

Check out said new tracks, "Stuck Together" and "The Twist," below. Longtime FN fans may remember that "The Twist" also showed up on Yorke's "Money Back" mix that he premiered on Mary Ann Hobbs' XFM show around the same time, but this is an updated/alternate version.

Seeing as Yorke has already revealed to Rolling Stone that both Radiohead AND Atoms For Peace have new material coming up sometime soonish, these make for additional interesting glimpses as to where Yorke might be headed. Of course we're going to keep our eyes on it.

Watch: Modeselektor & Thom Yorke -- "Shipwreck" (Happy Halloween)

German electronic badasses Modeselektor are getting us in the Halloween holiday spirit this afternoon thanks to the video for "Shipwreck," a cut off their new album Monkeytown that features none other that Radiohead's Thom Yorke. With an apparent nod to The Walking Dead, the video follows a boy as he narrowly avoids zombies and wild dogs in a post-apocalyptic cityscape, all set to Modeselektor's twitchy beats and Yorke's falsetto. It's wicked stuff.

Stream Thom Yorke's (Radiohead) Two-Hour BBC 6 Radio Mix

As one might guess from their name, Radiohead seems to be loving the radio a lot lately, with three of the band's five core members popping up on different shows in their native UK throughout the past week. That run culminated last night with frontman Thom Yorke stopping by BBC 6 to take over the station and spin two hours' worth of his favorite tracks, including cuts from Erykah Badu, Low, J Dilla, and Flying Lotus, and even some Radiohead remixes and B-sides.

Check it out on BBC 6's site all throughout this week (until they post the next episode on Saturday, apparently). Good stuff as always.

Watch/Stream: Thom Yorke's DJ Set At The Boiler Room

One of these days, I'll actually be in the same room as Radiohead's Thom Yorke as he busts out a kickass DJ set. But for now, watching him spin at Tuesday afternoon/night's TKOL RMX 1234567 party at London's Boiler Room via the Internet will have to do, and as expected it turned out quite awesome.

The Boiler Room has posted an official video and download of his whole set, both of which you can check out below due to the magic of embed codes. As he demonstrated onstage with Flying Lotus at LA's Low End Theory earlier this year, it will never get any less cool / hilarious to see Thom dropping and dancing around to Madvillain's "America's Most Blunted."

Thom, Ed, and Phil are all slated for more British radio appearances this week (Sunday, tonight, and... last night respectively), including another new mix from Thom. Check out Dead Air Space for more info.

We are hearing a lot more out of Radiohead than usual these days, and as they're my favorite band I am completely cool with that. Fortunately, the always excellent NPR capitalized on the band's recent openness to score a very interesting interview with frontman Thom Yorke and guitarist Ed O'Brien, in which the two provide insight into the group's creative process - one which has made them one of the most inventive and enduring rock bands in modern music.

Thom Yorke Confirms 2012 Radiohead Tour, New Atoms For Peace Album

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke seems to really enjoy being on the radio these days. Fresh off of dropping by Mary Ann Hobb's XFM show to drop a new mix and do "The Twist," he popped back on the air last night to hang out with Gilles Peterson on his BBC Radio 1 show, spin records, aaaaand confirm a 2012 Radiohead tour and a new Atoms For Peace album.

Yup. Like bandmate Ed O'Brien before him, Thom noted that the band will be setting up tour dates throughout what might be the last year of civilization, if you believe the Mayans. AND, his Atoms For Peace side project (which we last saw in 2010 rocking through Thom's solo release The Eraser with, uh,  Flea) is putting the finishing touches on a new album. As weird as it sounds, I caught their show on that tour and it was very legitimately cool, so very curious about what this new Atoms For Peace album will sound like.

While his bandmates Jonny Greenwood and Ed O'Brien are off paying homage to other composers and making us that much more anxious about a Radiohead tour respectively, frontman Thom Yorke has taken to the British airwaves to drop his new "Money Back" mix on Mary Ann Hobbs' XFM show.

Now, courtesy of our friends at One Thirty BPM, you can check out the goodness, including two of the latest TKOL RMX tracks and a new Thom Yorke song, a Chubby Checker tribute (not really) called "The Twist." Stereogum may have gotten these videos posted first, but Fucking Nostalgic caught the greatest screen shot in Radiohead history. Below, enjoy Radiohead's The King of Limbs: Live From The Basement, which was supposed to air on July 1st here in the US on Palladia, but for whatever reason never did. It will however air on Palladia on July 23rd.

Though they play the album out of order, they do play it in its entirety, in addition to new songs, "The Daily Mail" and "Staircase." And fuck if this version of "Give Up the Ghost" isn't a thing of absolute beauty. Again, props to Stereogum, and enjoy the show...
