Huh! File this under "News I Totally Wasn't Expecting Today." Oldschool rockers / clever song & album namers Primus are back, with their first new studio album in 11 years, Green Naugahyde, scheduled to drop on September 13 via ATO Records and Prawn Songs. Les Claypool and the gang today announced a fall US tour in support of the upcoming album - billed as "An Evening With Primus" ("just an evening?"), the tour will kick off on September 23 at The Orpheum in Boston, with a stop here in NYC at Roseland Ballroom on September 30.
Both a tour and album presale (preorder password = Hennepin) are happening over here. Check out the full tour schedule below the jump, as well as videos for "My Name Is Mud," "John The Fisherman," and - of course - the original opening theme for South Park which Primus created.
