Broadcast To Release New LP With Trish Keenan Vocals + A Film Soundtrack
The influential British electronic band Broadcast suffered a tragic loss close to a year ago with the passing of frontwoman Trish Keenan, but a recent interview with surviving member James Cargill in Under The Radar confirms that there are still new Broadcast projects in the works.
Cargill reveals that, just before she succumbed to complications from pneumonia, he and Keenan had been working on both a new Broadcast album and the soundtrack to the Peter Strickland film Berbian Sound Studio. As far as the new album, he notes that she had left behind a number of tapes with vocals planned for use on the project that reflect a natural evolution from 2003's HaHa Sound.
You can check out the full interview over here, and we'll provide updates on the new album as we hear more. Rest In Peace, Trish Keenan...
