Toronto’s Sandro Perri will indulge his audience as opener for Destroyer on June 18th at Brooklyn Masonic Temple. Placed #38 on Pitchfork’s Top 50 Albums of 2011, Sandro Perri’s Impossible Spaces (Constellation Records) swells and soars. Its seven tracks boast a particular attention to texture and rhythm that elevates its reach. “Love and Light” is a lush number, a work of grace and tenderness. The entire album is curious and mesmerizing, illuminating Perri’s penchant for experimentation. Listen to it below via Spotify.

In related news, on June 5th you can pick up Destroyer’s expanded commercial re-release of Destroyer’s Rubies (Merge Records) that includes the twenty-four minute “Loscil Rubies.” Tickets ($25-30) are still available for the 6/18 date at Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Ticketfly.
