Watch: Bob Mould Covers... His Own Song

We've been enjoying the A.V. Club's A.V. Undercover 2011 series, in which the music and pop culture site has been inviting 25 bands to cover 25 different songs "in a small, round room." Some of the cooler results so far have been Low covering Toto's "Africa," Sloan covering Gary Numan's "Cars", and (my personal favorite) They Might Be Giants rocking the hell out of Chumbawamba "Tubthumping."

In a weird but totally understandable move, they invited Bob Mould to stop by while he was in Chicago to perform a song from his own band, Sugar's "If I Can't Change Your Mind." Unlike that time he stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to promote his new autobiography See A Little Light: The Trail of Rage and Melody, he rocked the song without The Roots on backup. Check out the results above, and be sure to check out his book as well.
