Still bummed about not being able to get Kraftwerk tickets for any of their upcoming eight nights at the MoMA? As it turns out, so is Joe Garden, Features Editor at The Onion, who decided to do something AWESOME about it at Brooklyn's Littlefield Performance & Art Space:

Krautwerk 1-8 Condensed: Kraftwerk Covered 
For those that tried and failed to get tickets to MOMA's Kraftwerk retrospective concerts, there's a night for us. Krautwerk 1-8 condensed is better than eight days of Kraftwerk concerts; it's only one night with all the best songs performed by fans (who also didn't get tickets). Featuring: Tim Harrington (Les Savy Fav) , Dan Friel (Parts & Labor), Julie Cafritz (Pussy Galore), and many more. Krautwerk is curated by Joe Garden (Features Editor at The Onion).

Yep, that's right. Les Savy Fav's Tim Harrington (pictured above), rocking Kraftwerk covers all night. This inevitably freaky-yet-rad event is happening on April 10, and you can pick up tickets now for $12.50 or $15 day of show. The event invite also encourages you to "come early for tasty sausages," so... yeah, do that.

Something a little different this time around, due to the odd nature of this event. Below is an actual email exchange between Chris and Damien that took place during the two days that followed the performance. Throughout the exchange you'll find some tweets that were posted during the show. Rather than write up an actual review of what went down, we realized the story sort of unraveled better this way... enjoy!


Chris: You know… that show last night was pretty boring if I had to be brutally honest. What did you think?

Damien: Yeah agreed. I liked [opener] F. Stokes' energy but like I said, when you're billing something as a Digable Planets show, there's an expectation that more than one of the original three members will show up. And that they'll perform more than three songs off the albums they're most famous for. It felt pretty disconnected from the crowd and it showed as like most of the people left halfway through.
