The latest new album they have up for streaming is none other than the latest from the Dynamic Duo of French electronica AIR, Le Voyage Dans La Lune. We've had no shortage of AIR news recently, and with each new reveal we're getting more and more excited about their upcoming album Le Voyage Dans La Lune. At the album's genesis is the band's modern score used in the restoration of the pioneering 1902 French sci-fi short film of the same name, and now NPR has shared a just under 2-minute preview of the film in action.

Check out part of Le Voyage Dans La Lune's parade scene below, complete with some cool sounds from the French duo. This is the definition of Fucking Nostalgic if you happen to be over 100 years old. Looking forward to seeing it in full!

Listen To AIR's "Seven Stars" Feat. Victoria LeGrand (Beach House)

As we reported recently, electronic-leaning Frenchmen AIR are coming back with a new album on February 6 entitled Le Voyage Dans La Lune. One of the key guests on this album is Victoria LeGrand, frontwoman of the comparably laid-back Beach House, and NME points to a stream of their collaborative track "Seven Stars."

AIR Releasing New Album In Early 2012

Nice! According to NME, the French masters of chill electronica AIR are set to release their seventh studio album on February 6, 2012. The new album, La Voyage Dans La Lune, will feature the band's first new collection of material since 2009's Love 2, including vocal contributions from Au Revoire Simone and Beach House's Victoria LeGrand.

I know what you're thinking - isn't that the name of a 14-minute French film from 1902? You are absolutely correct, all none of you who guessed that. The band originally conceived of the project as a new soundtrack to said film, but expanded it into a full album upon completion. Good for us!
