As Geanna keeps mentioning / mocking, there might be something to this whole Mayan end-of-the-world thing after all, as it feels like every cool band ever is coming together to rock a tour and/or new album this year. And according to our friends at Slicing Up Eyeballs, we can now add seminal San Francisco punk rockers Flipper to the mix.
Fresh off of rehearsals in January, the reunited band will be rocking their first show of the year on March 3 at Oakland's The New Parish with The Dead Kennedys' East Bay Ray before heading east to my 2nd-favorite city - Austin, TX - for the 2012 South By Southwest (SXSW) Festival. After a two-night stand in Denver, they'll then completely skip NYC (crud) for five more shows in the UK and continental Europe.
Check out the full set of tour dates below, and let's hope they hang out in NYC for a little between Denver and Europe! Hell yes we're greedy.
