So yeah, we here at Fucking Nostalgic are definitely big fans of Ted Leo, especially when he joins up with the titular Pharmacists to rock our faces off at awesome shows like the free one we covered at South Street Seaport recently. Which is why it's great news out of the Matador Records / Matablog camp that Ted Leo & the Pharmacists have announced that they'll be touring up and down the East Coast this fall, starting on September 23 at Johnny Brenda's in Philly.
Now, while none of the announced dates take place here in NYC, Matablog has floated this little teaser out there: "... and if you think there’s a conspicuous gap in the schedule during the weekend of November 5th and 6th, rest assured I have no idea what you’re talking about." That's generally code for "there's going to be a really kickass NYC show or two," but we'll keep you posted as we hear more.
Meanwhile, check out the other tour dates below, along with video of Ted and the gang performing The Tyranny of Distance's "Timorous Me" at the album's 10th anniversary show at the Seaport to hold you over until they throw some more love NYC's way.
