New Order Playing Miami's Ultra Music Festival In March 2012

YES YES YES! Our fervent prediction that legendary British rockers New Order would be taking their (mostly) reunited lineup around the world in 2012 is coming to pass. Aside from dates in the UK, South America, and New Zealand, us Yanks can now get officially psyched: the Miami News Herald reports that organizers of the city's upcoming Ultra Music Festival have confirmed that New Order will be performing there this coming March!

This will be the band's first performance in the US in seven years, and is a damn big clue that there will be more US dates to come. We'll keep you posted for sure; check out a classic performance of New Order performing "Age of Consent" below as you imagine former bassist Peter Hook angrily headbutting a wall. (Cheers to Slicing Up Eyeballs for the tip!)
