Well This Happened: GZA Performs "Liquid Swords" With Wavves
Still kinda scratching my head about this one, but yep. Last night on FUEL TV's The Daily Habit, GZA (of the legendary NYC hip-hop group The Wu-Tang Clan) stopped by to rock through the title track off of his classic second solo album from '95, Liquid Swords. Who got his back? None other than... relatively new San Diego surf rock band Wavves.
I like Wavves and have seen them live, but I'm not sure what the connection here is aside from Wavves frontman Nathan Williams' well-documented love of hip-hop. Even so, it's always very cool to see GZA bust through "Liquid Swords" - check it out above.
