Ray Davies announces tour, playing Beacon Theater 11/20
We still don't know if Ray Davies plans on reuniting The Kinks anytime soon, but in the meantime he'll keep himself occupied with a solo tour of the US this fall. The announcement comes nearly a year after Davies cancelled his last scheduled US tour under the order of his doctors. The new tour will bring him to Beacon Theater on November 20. Tickets are not yet on sale, but we'll keep you updated as the information comes in.
Davies released See My Friends in 2010, which features collaborations with many, many artists including Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Spoon, Black Francis and Lucinda Williams. Most notable is the fact that it includes Alex Chilton of Big Star's final studio recording on a cover of The Kinks' classic "Till the End of the Day." Listen to the album on Spotify over here.
