Technically Nostalgic: Noel Gallagher Puts Out A Solo Album or Two

Sometimes we get some pretty fun emails here at Fucking Nostalgic. While Beady Eye (the band comprised of former members of that ubiquitous '90s British band Oasis, minus one) continues to put out music and tour and stand in weird poses for press photos, the one Oasis member left out - Noel Gallagher - announced his own news via a press conference in London today.

We, uh, couldn't make it, but his team was nice enough to sum up the news for us:

"Noel Gallagher confirmed today at a press conference in London that his brand new album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' - the first of TWO albums which have recently been completed - will be released through his own label, Sour Mash Records, on October 17 2011 in the U.K. followed by a U.S. release on November 8 2011 on Sour Mash Records/Mercury."

Yup. The email goes on to say that he'll be touring this fall in support of the album and that that second one will come out in 2012. It also included a tracklist with such parentheses-filled future hits as "(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach" and "(I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine." Keep an eye out for all of that when that happens, I guess.

His brother Liam, always known to be supportive, issued his own statement via Twitter:

...So there you go. Now let's watch an Oasis video!
