Watch Bob Mould Explain and Perform "Hoover Dam" For The A.V. Club
As we've made pretty clear by now, we're big fans of The A.V. Club's "One Track Mind" series. If you haven't checked it out yet, it's a combo interview/performance format centered on getting some of their (and our) favorite artists to dig into their catalogues and discuss one of their coolest songs before performing said cool song.
The latest episode focuses on Husker Du / Sugar frontman Bob Mould, who is no stranger to playing Sugar songs for The A.V. Club. This time he chats about and rocks through the classic track "Hoover Dam" in the Williamsburg loft where he wrote it close to 20 years ago - check out the interview below and the full performance over here.

Watch: Eric Bachmann (Archers Of Loaf) Discusses And Performs "Web In Front"

Gotta say, we can definitely get behind the mission of The A.V. Club's new "One Track Mind" series: get an artist we're nostalgic about in a room, talk to him or her about an awesome song they made, and then watch as they perform said awesome song. They did it a couple of weeks ago with Superchunk's Mac McCaughan, and in the latest installment we get to (virtually) hang out with Eric Bachmann of reunited indie-rock heroes Archers of Loaf.
Bachmann gives us the origin story of "Web In Front" off of their classic 1993 debut Icky Mettle (he's pretty surprised people like it!) before performing the track in full. Check out the combo interview/performance below, and go over here to see the performance in full. And hey, pick up their reissues while you're at it - the reissue of their second album, Vee Vee, is scheduled for February 21.

Watch: Mac McCaughan (Superchunk) Talks About & Performs "Digging For Something" For The A.V. Club

Ahh, gotta love The A.V. Club. From A.V. Undercover to their new One Track Mind series, The Onion's entertainment offshoot has provided us nostalgic music fans plenty of opportunities to geek out over their favorite bands' favorite songs.
Such is the case with the latest edition of One Track Mind, where they set down with frontman Mac McCaughan of the excellent Superchunk to get the backstory behind "Digging For Something," a standout cut off of the band's latest album Majesty Shredding. And since it's kind of a tease to talk about the song and not play it, Mac follows up the story with an acoustic rendition.
Check out both the interview and the performance combined below, and check out the full performance over here. Definitely a treat and a cool series to keep an eye on.
