Michael Jackson fans and indie film lovers rejoice! Brooklyn Vegan is presenting a FREE screening of the New Zealand film Boy at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on February 28 in advance of its wider March 2 US release. An "I <3 MJ" dance party will follow the screening of this heartwarming tale of heroes, magic, & Michael Jackson at 10PM.
Per BV, "BOY was written and directed by Oscar nominee Taika Waititi (Flight of the Conchords, Eagle vs Shark) who also stars in the film. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2010, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize."
