Roxy Music To Release 40th Anniversary Box Set

"Met Brian [sic] Ferry last night. Know what's cooler than meeting Brian Ferry? Being Brian Ferry."
-- James Murphy, LCD Soundsystem

Not a bad line of logic there, James. And as Pitchfork reports, Bryan Ferry will continue being cool throughout this year as he and his band of British art rock pioneers known as Roxy Music celebrate the 40th anniversary of their self-titled debut album by releasing a career-spanning box set. Called - appropriately enough - Roxy Music: The Complete Studio Recordings 1972-1982, the eight-CD / four-DVD box set with every album from 1972's Roxy Music to 1982's Avalon, along with "high-resolution audio" versions of each album on the DVDs and a ton of singles, remixes, and B-sides.

Virgin Records will release the set on April 2, and Roxy Music fansite Roxyrama has the full scoop and tracklist For Your (Reading) Pleasure in the meantime. Bet you saw that pun coming a mile away, but I don't care.
