Trent Reznor Focusing On NIN Material For 2012
I'm starting to get the sense that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor just doesn't bother with things like sleep anymore. Fresh off releasing a 6-song sampler of his upcoming score for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (featuring a blistering cover of "Immigrant Song" with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's Karen O), he spoke to The Sun about all the work that has gone into the project and let loose a very interesting tidbit about the future of NIN. The very near future, in fact:
And for Trent are the rumours true that Nine Inch Nails WILL return soon?
He says: "Nine Inch Nails is not dead by any means but all the touring and record writing has been thrown off a little bit. I highly expect that to be the focus of 2012 in terms of writing and we may see a full-length release even."
New full-length, eh?! That would be the band's first new LP since 2008's The Slip and would be a VERY happy return for one of the world's foremost industrial rock bands. We'll definitely keep you posted as we hear more about their return, but definitely start getting excited now.
