FN News Roundup: March 19, 2012

News Roundup time, suckas!

  • Can't beat some Indiana Jones-esque musical treasure hunting on a Monday. Check out a full audio recording of Pavement's second show ever at Maxwell's on August 12, 1990, along with an interesting little review from the time. (Matador)

  • "Hey Jane" from Spiritualized's upcoming LP Sweet Heart Sweet Light (out April 17) now has a... definitely NSFW official music video. Give it a look. (Pitchfork)

  • In other Jane-related news, beloved '80s indie-poppers The Wedding Present have released the second single from their new album Valentina (out tomorrow!). Stream "You Jane" and see them at The Bell House and Le Poisson Rouge later this week. (Consequence of Sound)

  • Fiona Apple busted out not one, not two, but THREE tracks from her long-awaited new album The Idler Wheel... at SXSW this past week, with footage of "Valentine" now available for viewing. (Beats Per Minute)

  • John Lydon and Public Image Ltd. stopped by BBC 6's 10th Anniversary concert this past Friday for a 52-minute set, performing new tracks "One Drop" and "Deeper Water" in the process. Check it out, Dr. Steve Brule! (Slicing Up Eyeballs)
