Oh hello. One of the weird side effects of CMJ happening in NYC right now is that, while there are a shit-ton of performances going on, there's apparently not too much news to share today. So given that, and because it's one of my favorite things ever, I decided to write a post about the 1985 classic film The Goonies. Or more specifically, a post containing the full-on video for Cyndi Lauper's classic video for "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough."
Fans of the video already know what they're in for: Cyndi Lauper. Captain Lou Albano (Rest In Peace, sir). A rag-tag group of Oregonian kids known as The Goonies. Extras dressed as pirates. A really weird-ass plot. All of these are good reasons to watch it again, or for the first time if you've been under a rock or nonexistent for the past 26 years.
