The Flaming Lips Are Making A 6-Hour Song, Will Mention YOU In A Lyric

...For $100. Let me explain.

Oklahoma's freak-rock sons The Flaming Lips are in the process of putting together a six hour-long song, "Found A Star On The Ground," and have offered fans the opportunity to have their names featured in one of the lyrics that Wayne Coyne will sing at some point during that massive span of time in exchange for $100. All of the money raised will go toward the OK Humane Society and the ACM@UCO music program, so you get to contribute to charity AND finally get the opportunity to be in a Flaming Lips song that you never had before because your name isn't Yoshimi.

Head over to the donation page if you want in on this - compared to cramming new songs into gummy skulls and literally sharing a stage with Weezer, this is actually one of the more normal things the Lips have done recently. Remember when Zaireeka was their weirdest idea?
