Kim Gordon playing the Stone on Saturday

Sonic Youth’s bassist/guitarist/singer Kim Gordon will be playing a solo show (with guests) in East Village venue the Stone this Saturday (4/23). The show falls under a Thurston Moore-curated run at the Stone, “Ecstatic Peace,” named after the record label founded by the Sonic Youth frontman.

For the full list of shows curated by Moore, which will run until the end of April, check out the Stone’s calendar. The Stone does not sell advance tickets, but it is only $10 and you can line up to get in prior to the doors opening at 7pm. We will be covering the Kim Gordon show and will post a full set of photos!

In other Sonic Youth news, as reported over the weekend, 1991: The Year Punk Broke is finally getting a DVD release this fall.

  1. The Stone is the new Tonic, except much smaller, hotter, and smellier.
