Robert Smith meets Dinosaur Jr... in 1989

In honor of Dinosaur Jr. releasing their extremely limited edition cassette trilogy this week, and The Cure taking over the Beacon Theatre next week for three very special shows, I present you with a great Melody Maker article from 1989 that I randomly found last night at 2am. Basically, Robert Smith hated Dinosaur Jr.'s cover of "Just Like Heaven," but agreed to randomly meet the band at the urging of some "English guy," just prior to Dinosaur recording their Peel session for the BBC.
